Our mission is to humanely reduce the overpopulation of homeless cats and kittens by conducting, promoting, and supporting trap, neuter, and return (TNR) programs and spay/neuter programs.

What We Do

We conduct trap/neuter/return (TNR) programs on a project basis and support low-cost community "fix-it" days. We are not a cat removal service, an animal shelter, or an adoption agency. Our trained volunteers trap the cats in specially designed traps and transport them to a licensed veterinarian for spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, ear-tipping, and medical treatment, if needed. After a brief recovery period (about 24-48 hours), the cats are returned to their home. A colony caregiver is expected to provide simple, long-term care including food, water, and shelter.

We work in the central Ohio area, primarily in Delaware, Morrow, Richland and Knox Counties. Since 2011, SNACK has spayed/neutered over 1,800 cats and kittens.
